Pulmonology Consult
The Pulmonology consult service at LAG-USC Medical Center consists of a team of an attending physician, a fellow, 1-6 interns and/or senior residents, and sometimes a medical student. Consults are accepted at any time from medicine teams, non-medicine teams, and the ED.

Consult room is located between the bronchoscopy suite/PFT lab and GI

If unable to reach the fellow, you can contact the Attending on service via Teams

· 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM Resident/Fellow Work Rounds
· 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM Attending Rounds
· 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Lunch/Conference (Noon Conference, Grand Rounds, M&M)
· 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Patient Care and Management / Clinic / Afternoon Didactics

The Fellow or Residents rotating on the Pulmonary Consult service are contact by the primary team for consult
Consults should be viewed with the following priorities:
Emergent: Reviewed/evaluated within 1 hour
Urgent: Reviewed/evaluated within 8 hours
Routine: Reviewed/evaluated within 24 hours

Pulm diseases are systemic illnesses that can affect virtually every organ, requiring a detailed and systematic approach to the patient evaluation.
Must include systemic ROS
Physical exam should be comprehensive
A detailed social and family history can help assess for potential rheumatologic or oncologic diseases.

Team members are expected to communicate all recommendations to the primary teams after rounds, by end of day via Voip or Teams.
Pulmonology Clinic
The Pulmonology Diseases clinic occurs on Wednesday at 1pm in Clinic Tower building A on the fourth floor. We also provide care to incarcerated patients through the jail clinic in 1E on Tuesdays/Thursdays at 10am.
