Geriatrics Clinic
The Geriatric clinic rotation consists of 2-3 residents with at least 1 attending. The clinic takes place daily in the am, and your afternoons will be spent in either primary care clinic or another clinic.
Educational Goals & Overview

Arrive at 8am to OPD 3p22. You will be assigned a panel once arriving.

Clinic will occur daily from 8am-12pm. At least one faculty will be present to present your patients to.

If you identify a patient in primary care clinic who would beneift from the geriatrics clinic either as a consult visit or to take over care, send an Orchid message to Casey Yamashita. The patient whould have at least 2 geriatric comorbidities or a specific questions (ie cognitive decline).

Often there will be a 30 minute lecture prior to clinic starting.

Notes in geriatric clinic will look very similar to those in primary care. (HPI, physical exam, problem-based assessment and plan.
